When I talk about Diamond and Gemstone Therapy, I often discuss them together, as they both support physical and energetic health and the body’s natural ability to self-heal.

But Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy are two separate healing modalities. While they do have many similarities, each offers its own unique benefits and works differently to support a person’s overall wellness.

In this blog post, I’ll compare Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy so you can better understand how each modality works.

If you’re a prospective student, this will help you decide which program you might want to pursue. If you’re looking to work with a Diamond or Gemstone Therapy Practitioner, it will help you determine which type of treatment most appeals to you.

Key Difference Between Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy

Diamond Therapy reconnects you with your inherent blueprints of optimal health, which guide your healing processes and tell your heart where to lead you in life.

TheraDiamondsTM help you access these instructions that guide optimal health and function. Diamond Therapy brings forward information that lies within.

Gemstone Therapy is the art and science of applying medicinal-quality gemstones to the body and aura to fill energetic needs and deficiencies. Gemstone frequencies nourish, clear, harmonize, and balance. They help you make the changes that your blueprints know are best.

In short, healing Diamonds reconnect you with your blueprints, while healing gemstones help your body make the changes it needs to be more aligned with your blueprints.

Similarities of Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy

Therapy Diamonds and healing gemstones can both be used to evaluate as well as correct. They can help you take control of every aspect of your health and life, from your cells and organs to your emotions, thoughts, and awareness.

Both are complementary alternative healing methods that address the underlying energetic factors and causes of illness and lack of wellness. They use top-quality natural tools provided by the Earth.

Both modalities are based upon the principle that the body knows how to heal itself and will do so when given the proper resources.

Last, both can be used either by the layperson for self-healing support, or by professionals in a healing arts practice.

Table comparing Gemstone and Diamond Therapy

Differences: Shape and Number

The most obvious differences between Gemstone and Diamond Therapy are the shape and number of therapy tools required to perform each modality.

Gemstone Therapy practitioners require a collection of high-quality crystal spheres. An associate practitioner typically starts with 12 necklaces or bracelets, plus collections of eight individual gemstone spheres used to make gemstone mandalas.

To apply Diamond Therapy, you need a faceted round brilliant-cut natural diamond that has been specially selected for its healing properties. Certified associate practitioners are proficient at working with one Therapy Diamond. Fully certified Diamond Therapy practitioners are able to work with two stones.

Difference: Underlying Purpose

Applying gemstones to the body and aura helps fill energetic needs and deficiencies, which are typically at the root of poor health and unhappiness. Gemstone frequencies nourish, clear, harmonize, and balance.

The purpose of Diamond Therapy is to awaken the body to its blueprints, strengthen its connection with them, and clear what stands in their way of guiding you toward health. Therapy Diamonds work in multiple ways to help the body receive its blueprint information and act upon it. When that information is readily available, the body can use it to self-heal and help you move forward on your life journey.

In short, Gemstone Therapy provides healing frequencies, and Diamond Therapy brings forward information that lies within. The body then compares this information with its present state and uses it as a guide for healing.

Difference: Daily Support

Gemstone necklaces and therapy strands can be worn all day long for personal healing support and used during Gemstone Therapy sessions. You can get 24/7 support from a TheraDiamond by wearing it in a ring, but this limits the variety of ways you can use your Diamond as a therapeutic tool.

Spending a few minutes with your loose, unmounted TheraDiamond once or twice a day, perhaps before bed, can improve your blueprint connection and help your body receive blueprint information. You might spend less than a minute with your Diamond, but its effects will stay with you the entire day.

Self-Therapy Application

In self-therapy, both Gemstone and Diamond Therapy can be applied very simply.

Wearing healing gemstone jewelry allows the gems’ energies to radiate throughout your body and aura. Their presence supports and nourishes you the entire time you wear them.

Diamond self-therapy requires a degree of attentiveness. At the very least, you remove the TheraDiamond from its container and hold it or place it beside you. The presence of the Diamond within your energy field gently awakens, uplifts, and clarifies your blueprints. Because the Diamond is small and precious, you must remember to put it away when you’re done.

More intensive and focused applications are taught in the Level 1 and 2 trainings.

Of course, the easiest way to receive the self-therapy benefits of a healing Diamond is to wear it in a ring. That way, you can enjoy its seven-color-ray support all day long.

Difference: Apparent Activity During Application

While Diamond and Gemstone Therapy both work with the energies associated with health limitations, their applications differ.

Practitioner applying gems during a Gemstone Therapy sessionDuring a Gemstone Therapy session, the practitioner actively applies gemstones to the client’s aura or places them on the body using various procedures and techniques.

To an observer, the practitioner appears to be actively doing something most of the time: gathering and placing gemstones on the body, building a custom gemstone mandala, or applying the gems in the aura following the body’s energy flows.

In contrast, a Diamond Therapy practitioner’s work is far less apparent. Most of a session could consist of quietly holding the Therapy Diamond at certain key points.

This is a boon for aging practitioners or those who have limited mobility. They can give deeply meaningful sessions even while they remain seated.

Regardless of how a session appears on the outside, Diamond and Gemstone Therapy practitioners are trained to focus actively and alertly on the inner work that the stones’ energies facilitate. This requires mental discipline that comes with practice. Both types of practitioners pay attention to and learn to describe the energetic shifts that occur throughout the session.

More Similarities

Both modalities are permission-based and applied with the highest of ethics. Practitioners begin only after obtaining permission from the client, the client’s highest intelligence, and the intelligence centers of whatever organ or area they’ll be working with during a session.

While a client can be overtreated with either modality if the practitioner is inexperienced, certified Diamond and Gemstone Therapy practitioners are trained to keep the session in balance. They are also proficient in the art of integration, which ensures that clients leave feeling alert, centered, and fully present in their body. When properly integrated, the effects of the session are well ingrained, for lasting results.

Powerful Tools

Therapy Diamonds and gemstones are powerful tools for initiating and supporting positive changes in a person’s body, being, and life.

Gemstone Therapy is a safe modality for anyone. You can’t hurt a person when you apply gemstone spheres. If you apply them incorrectly, your effectiveness will suffer—not the client.

Diamonds, on the other hand, can be misused, causing significant damage energetically. Therefore, it requires specific training and care to handle a Diamond safely and correctly.

As a matter of course, healing gemstones collect unwanted energy during use and require cleansing. This cleansing is efficient and complete. When a Diamond is used incorrectly, it can also collect unwanted energy. This energy can only be returned to the client from whom it originated. If not done so, the energy will be imparted into the next person who uses the Diamond.

Integration into Other Modalities

Both Diamond Therapy and Gemstone Therapy can be integrated into other healing modalities. While any practitioner can wear a healing gemstone necklace to support them and/or their client, employing Gemstone Therapy procedures requires some modification of the practitioner’s routine.

Healing Therapy DiamondWith Diamond Therapy, nothing about the practitioner’s routine has to change. Simply placing a Therapy Diamond within the session space brightens the blueprints of both practitioner and client. This uplifts the session and enhances the healing potential of whatever modality is employed.

Working with Therapy Diamonds is a game changer. Once you learn how to use them, your life and your healing arts practice will never be the same. As Diamonds help your clients connect to their blueprints of optimal health, you’ll be able to witness true self-healing.

“What I find in my practice, and I do cranial sacral work and karma resolution work, is that, when I work with the Diamond energy, people settle in a very deep and profound way…It’s a feeling of depth, truth, presence, and incredible nourishment that brings safety, trust, and real upliftment.” -Linda Lile

Diamond and Gemstone Therapies Are Mutually Supportive

Those who start by wearing therapeutic gemstone necklaces are often attracted to Diamond Therapy later on. It is easy to incorporate a Therapy Diamond into a self-healing routine and into the protocols of Gemstone Therapy sessions.

Those who are initially attracted to Diamond Therapy may eventually become interested in adding therapeutic gemstones to their lifestyle and practice. While the Diamonds call forth the blueprints, the gemstones provide essential energetic nourishment to help the body make the changes the blueprints call for.

Cost

The cost of building a well-stocked collection of healing gemstone necklaces can exceed an investment in a single TheraDiamond. For an aspiring Gemstone Therapy Associate Practitioner specializing in custom gemstone mandalas, which requires a collection of single gemstone spheres and certain basic necklaces, a beginner’s pharmacy may cost $4,000. Those who want to focus on necklaces can expect to spend $10,000 to $15,000 for top-of-the-line pieces.

You can purchase a small Therapy Diamond for well under the price of many gemstone necklaces. (Diamond prices usually start around $1,000–$1,500.) Expect to pay around $5,000–$12,000 or more for a Diamond that is large enough to hold relatively easily. Therapy Diamonds one carat and above can cost $15,000 or more.

It’s important to know that Therapy Diamonds will cost considerably more than average jewelry diamonds. This is due not only to the extraordinary time and effort required to sort them from non-therapeutic stones, but also the fact that they are extremely rare. On average, only 2% of the Diamonds that meet physical parameters for therapeutic quality carry the seven-color-ray spectrum of a true healing stone.

Where to Start

Most students have a natural inclination for one modality or the other. They say the Diamond calls them, or they’ve loved gemstones their entire life.

If you’re undecided, ask yourself, which modality is best for you personally, and which would be best for your clients? The first question can only be answered by inner reflection. The second may depend on your style and type of practice.

New students have two options to get started:

• Start with the online Diamond Therapy 111 course, which is required for associate practitioner certification but can also be taken for self-therapy alone. We will send you the introductory module when you purchase your TheraDiamond. The first coaching call will be scheduled for later in the month. Click here to learn more.

• Join our Gemstone Therapy Level 1 online course. This class is for those who want to learn self-therapy or take the first step toward associate practitioner certification. Click here to learn more.

To get a better sense of the education available on each of these tracks, you can learn more about becoming a Diamond Therapy practitioner or a Gemstone Therapy practitioner.

An Easy First Step

Add a gemstone necklace to your personal collection of therapy tools and see for yourself the support you can get from spherical crystals. With proper cleansing, these gems can be your partners in health for the rest of your life.

Or, start wearing a Therapy Diamond ring. Rings are a logical, convenient, and appealing way to enjoy the benefits of Therapy Diamonds when your primary interest is self-therapy. Once your Diamond is mounted in an energetically safe setting, all you have to do is wear it. You can also enjoy special therapeutic ways to use your ring, which you can learn in our Diamond ring courses.

You can also dive in with the Diamond Therapy Level 1 program—it’s the self-healing adventure of a lifetime!
