Azurite-Malachite should have distinct patches of bright blue and pure green that are well-defined and randomly distributed around the sphere. Beware of manufactured Azurite-Malachite. These non-therapeutic beads consist of pieces of Azurite and Malachite assembled and glued together. Telltale signs of manufacturing are geometrically shaped patches of blue and green and the presence of bands in the Malachite. It is impossible for Malachite to grow bands when also surrounded by Azurite in nature.

Clarity

Azurite-Malachite is an opaque stone. The finest therapeutic-quality gems are simply blue and green. White dots and small patches of brown Tenorite or shiny Pyrite may also be present.
