Every part of our physical anatomy has an energetic counterpart in the aura. The body’s energy flows also have counterparts, as do unwanted energies and energy blockages contained in the body. Everything manifests in the aura at a higher level of vibration.

The gemstones in this necklace identify those areas where energy flows have become stagnant and work to release blockages in them.

Imagine a logjam on a river. After a rainfall, the river level rises and the logs become unstuck. This is what happens when you wear Living River. It increases the amount of flow moving through stuck areas so that these areas soften and the accumulated energies dilute and release.

Clears Stagnant Energy

This necklace is especially useful for clearing stagnant energy in the lower abdomen, which can lead to bladder infection, incontinence, constipation, enlarged prostate, vaginitis, hemorrhoids, irregular urination, menstrual cramps, uterine fibroids, and certain fertility issues.

The urinary system includes the kidneys, which control interstitial fluid levels. When these levels are out of balance, edema and fluid retention can result. These conditions are also associated with stagnant energy.

Symbiotic Blue-Green Fluorite, Carnelian, and Citrine

Blue-Green Fluorite

Blue-Green Fluorite vitalizes the urinary system and has a cooling, softening effect that promotes tissue flexibility and allows energies to flow as they should. This ability to open and restore energy flows is a key benefit because many health conditions stem from stagnant energy. Energy stagnancy in the lower abdomen is usually associated with bladder infection, incontinence, chronic vaginal yeast infection, constipation, prostate conditions, poor libido, certain fertility issues, and uterine fibroids. Stagnancy is also usually responsible for any condition that is slow to heal.

Blue-Green Fluorite supports energy flows that move down the body. These downward-moving flows are associated with good digestion, elimination, and respiration. Carnelian

Carnelian provides the orange ray, which vitalizes the sacral chakra. Carnelian also promotes the flow of energy, particularly that of the blood.

Citrine

Numerology

This necklace is based on odd numbers, which encourage movement. It focuses on the numbers five and seven. The number five has an affinity with memory. When incorporated into necklaces, it helps the body remember healthy function. The number seven has an affinity with the mind and with manifestation. In a necklace, it helps you manifest your health goals.

Five or seven Blue-Green Fluorite are strung between the symbiotic gems in the front of the necklace. These symbiotic gems include one Carnelian plus four Citrine (totaling five in the front). There are also two Carnelian near the clasp, for a grand total of seven symbiotic gems.

Clearing stagnant energy in the body requires shifts in your mental body. This is particularly true if the stagnancy encompasses your body (as in systemic edema) or has manifested as physical symptoms. By invoking a number associated with manifestation, your mind is stimulated to think in new and different ways. Doing so is essential to clear mental stagnancy. Because of the law "as above, so below," as mental stagnancy clears, so too does its physical counterpart.

The number of Blue-Green Fluorite between the middle Citrine and the Carnelian at the end of the clasp are as many as needed to make a desired length. Therefore, this number may vary.

The Urinary System

Living River is the vitalizing necklace for the urinary-bladder system.

Physical Functions

Physically, the urinary system includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. This system filters out water-soluble toxins, mixes them with urine, and expels them from the body. The kidneys have several other functions, too. They regulate blood volume, blood pressure, blood pH, and the production of red blood cells. When your kidneys are energetically supported with Living River, these functions may improve as a result.

The kidneys also control interstitial fluid levels. When these levels are out of balance, edema and fluid retention can result. These conditions are associated with stagnant energy. Wearing Living River helps your body find a better balance of tissue fluids by mobilizing stagnant energy flows and supporting healthy kidney function.

Energetic Functions

Energetically, the urinary system has two purposes: to keep toxins moving on a journey out of the body so that they don’t collect inside of it; and to relieve energy stagnation by encouraging energy movement.

Unwanted energies in the body follow the pull of gravity and the natural direction of the eliminatory pathways of the bowel, bladder, and root chakra, and tend to accumulate in the lower third of the torso. If these energies are not efficiently eliminated and too many accumulate, they can become stagnant. In an environment of stagnant energy, infections can overcome the immune system and tissues can begin to malfunction.

Energy stagnancy in the lower abdomen can lead to a variety of conditions and interfere with the natural flow of healing energies to that area, making conditions there slow to heal.

How to Break Up Energy Stagnation

The Living River necklace and the urinary system both serve to break up energy stagnation in the body.

Regular urination involves a flow of fluid through the lower abdomen and out the body. This flow of liquid produces an electrical charge that naturally breaks up energy stagnation. In men, frequent urination is a symptom of an enlarged prostate. The enlarged prostate presses against the bladder, reducing the amount of urine the bladder can contain. Energetically, it is interesting to note that more frequent urination is also the body’s way of trying to heal itself. It can help release and ease the energy stagnancy that likely precipitated the prostate condition in the first place.

Therapeutic Quality Parameters

Blue-Green Fluorite Color Rating

A gemstone’s color rating refers to its quality of color. Blue-Green Fluorite color ranges from greenish blue to bluish green. The deeper and richer the color of Blue-Green Fluorite, the higher its quality rating.

5A – A rich, bright, blue-green color is distributed evenly throughout the sphere, with no colorless zones or color variation.

4A – Has a rich, bright, blue-green color but may have slight zoning or colorless or a lighter blue-green section that is visible when closely inspected.

3A – Has a pastel blue-green color. Slight zoning may be present.

2A – Has a pale pastel blue-green color. Zoning may be present.

Blue-Green Fluorite Clarity Rating

Blue-Green Fluorite is a very soft mineral (4 on the Mohs hardness scale) and should be stored carefully to avoid scuffing and scratching its surface. Do not store your Blue-Green Fluorite necklace in such a way that it will rub against other types of necklaces, such as those made of gemstones based on Quartz, which has a Mohs hardness of 7. These are more likely to abrade the Fluorite.

A gemstone’s clarity ratings refer to the distribution and size of cracks and inclusions.

5A – Has no visible cracks or inclusions.

4A – May have one very small crack or a few tiny colorless cracks.

3A – Contains visible colorless cracks that do not interfere with the integrity of the bead. No inclusions.

2A – Has significant cracks that may cause the bead to break if dropped. No inclusions.

Note: Fluorite is a soft stone that is prone to breakage if dropped—even if it doesn’t have crack lines, which weaken the stone.

Blue-Green Fluorite Candescence Rating

A gemstone’s candescence rating refers to the quality of polish and the gem’s inherent brightness.

4A – Exceptionally brilliant.

3A – Naturally bright.

2A – Has a dull appearance.

Blue-Green Fluorite Cut Rating

A gemstone’s cut rating refers to the evenness of the gemstone’s shape.

4A – The gem is a perfectly round sphere.

3A – The gem may have slight cut irregularities or flat spots that are hardly noticeable.

2A – The irregularities in the cut are visible if closely inspected but are unnoticeable when the bead is strung in a necklace.

Your body has both downward- and upward-moving energy flows. When you remove the Living River necklace after wearing it, your downward flows are no longer supported. This is why it’s a good idea to wear Living River all day long when you want energetic support for acute conditions. (Keep it nearby the bed or next to you when you sleep.)

Regularly wearing Living River in intervals can kick-start the upward flows when you wear it for a few hours on and off for several days. When doing this technique, try to wear and take it off two or three times during the day. You may notice a renewed vitality in the flows that naturally move upward too. You may find you have more energy overall and improved mental clarity.

How It Works
The body’s downward flows are part of a circle that includes the upwardly moving ones. When you clear blockages in the movement of energy down the body, and these downward flows improve, the upward moving ones are indirectly supported too.

Wear Living River and Dumortierite & Carnelian Separately

Very few gemstone necklace formulas conflict with each other, but Living River and Dumortierite & Carnelian do. Each supports a different type of energy flow. Living River supports the downward-moving flows in the body and Dumortierite & Carnelian supports the upwardly moving flows. Wearing both necklaces would emphasize both flows at the same time, which could put unnecessary stress on the body and/or cancel out the beneficial effects of both necklaces. For these reasons, we do not recommend wearing these two necklaces together.

Wear Living River During the Day

If you are wearing Living River for general support and health improvement, wear it for several hours a day about three days a week.

If you are wearing Living River as a resource for helping your body harmonize certain conditions, wear it every day or sleep with it every night. It’s best not to wear it both day and night, as your body needs time to work with its upward-moving energy flows.

Sleep with Living River at Night

You can sleep with Living River either in the bed with you or unclasped and draped across your waist.

Wearing therapeutic gemstone jewelry around your neck or on your wrist or ears is by far the easiest way to enjoy their healing benefits. Therapeutic gemstones may also be applied on the body as a poultice or strung on a therapy wand and applied in the aura.

Backstory

To develop the Gemstone Therapy necklaces, Isabelle consults with her teachers in the higher planes or the gemstone guardians in charge of the gemstones used. Here, Isabelle shares some of her personal experiences behind the scenes in the development of this necklace.

I was in the midst of a recurring bladder infection when I happened to also be visiting one of my gemstone suppliers. When he pulled out several strands of Blue-Green Fluorite, I immediately gravitated to it. I knew Blue-Green Fluorite vitalized the urinary tract, but I hadn’t taken the time to make a custom gemandala for a self-therapy. I’d also never seen this gemstone in the 10 mm size and quality he was showing me.

I held the hank of strands and was delighted to feel a surge of relief. It felt as though a cool river was flowing down inside my body and quelling the fire in my bladder. Given how common bladder infections are and how difficult it can be to clear them, even using conventional means, I knew that a lot of people would appreciate the helpful energetic support that a Blue-Green Fluorite necklace could provide. I bought all the Blue-Green Fluorite they had and put in an order for more.

Finding the design for this necklace was a team effort. I sat down with one of our staff and told him about the Blue-Green Fluorite. I shared how conditions in the lower abdomen are usually orange-ray deficient. Why not add Carnelian? I also shared how Blue-Green Fluorite helps break up energy stagnation by supporting downward flows, and explained how this is different than the action of Citrine, which does a similar job by stirring energies. Why not add Citrine too?

The design flowed with ease, like a living river.

The information in this webpage came from a few sources: the Guardian of Blue-Green Fluorite, personal observation guided by my Gemstone Therapy teacher, and inner library research. The guardian of this gemstone has been elusive to me in that I haven’t been able to have a face-to-face conversation with him, as I’ve had with other guardians. Yet he has made his presence known in subtle ways.

Once, when I was outside working on this page, my attention was drawn to a blue-green glass ball my husband had bought for the garden. I’d never noticed before how much this orb looked like Blue-Green Fluorite, and it seemed to shine particularly brightly in that moment. When I had a question about this necklace and invited and felt this guardian’s presence, soon enough, I knew the answer. I hadn’t even been aware of the telepathy between us.

Working with this gemstone has taught me a lot about trusting the most subtle of inner experiences and to keep them moving forward, like a river, without letting my mind obstruct, judge, or end them prematurely.
