Worn without Pink Spinel, Pink Chalcedony’s calming effect could be taken to an extreme. If someone already has a tendency toward feeling sadness and apathy, wearing Pink Chalcedony alone could support that. Pink Spinel is essential to pair with Pink Chalcedony.

There’s indeed a science behind the construction of our gemstone formulas, and that’s why we call them "formulas" and not simply gemstone combinations. There’s a reason for all of the numbers that comprise our necklaces.

The formula Pink Chalcedony & Pink Spinel is based on even numbers. Even numbers support balance, equilibrium, and steadiness. The necklace will have its greatest effect if there is an even number of spheres in the front, between the two symbiotics, and also if an even number is between the symbiote and the clasp. In all healing gemstone necklaces, the numerology is most significant in the front of the necklace.

If the even number in the front is also a multiple of four, then you’ll have even more stability.

The Pink Chalcedony & Pink Spinel formula has a multiple of four times an odd number of spheres in the front. An odd number helps change happen; it supports the wearer’s movement toward even greater emotional stability.

Therapeutic-Quality Pink Chalcedony

Therapeutic-quality Pink Chalcedony is a soft pale pink color that is consistent throughout the sphere, which should be well rounded and nearly perfectly cut.

This is a semi-translucent stone. When you hold the gems up to the light, they seem to glow. Some gems reveal a faint orangish-pink color in sunlight.

Pink Chalcedony spheres with a 3A clarity might have some slight inconsistencies or colorless cracks. These imperfections are not obvious and might only be seen with a flashlight, and they do not affect the therapeutic quality. Gemstones of 4A clarity would be nearly flawless or have such very slight colorless imperfections they are hardly visible. Gemstones of 5A clarity are flawless to the naked eye.

Most of the gemstones in our necklaces have 5A clarity; since a few are 4A we grade it conservatively at 4A.

Therapeutic-Quality Pink Spinel

Therapeutic-quality Pink Spinel comes in rondel form, and its color can range from medium-light to a rich bright pink. Higher-quality gems are translucent and clear. Three-A clarity stones may have significant colorless inclusions; 4A clarity has few colorless inclusions, and 5A has practically none. Gems with 4A candescence shine.

Wearing Pink Chalcedony & Pink Spinel

If you have all of the signs and indications for needing a necklace like this, you should wear it and keep it with you as much as possible.

1. Wear it during the day.
2. At night, take it off, clean it, and keep it by your bedside.
3. Repeat.

Wearing Necklaces of the Same Length

Let’s say you wear a Moonstone & Emerald necklace at exactly the same length as Pink Chalcedony & Pink Spinel. The Moonstone and Chalcedony gemstones are close enough in hardness that they should not scratch each other. The Moonstone is a little softer, but not by much. Since Moonstone also has a moistening effect, its energy is going to use that moistening effect to support the equalizing, sorting, and all of the work that Pink Chalcedony does. It’s also going to support the wearer, but because the necklaces are the exact same length, it’s almost as if the Moonstone necklace is being worn by the Pink Chalcedony. So, the Moonstone necklace’s effects are focused first on the Pink Chalcedony and then on you as a side benefit. This is true of any two necklaces that you wear. One of them will always be the primary necklace--the one that receives support from the other.

Applying on Therapy Wand

If you wrap this necklace on a therapy wand to apply in the aura, be very careful to move the gemstones slowly.

When you apply a necklace in an aura, it’s very important to practice what I like to call “Gemstone Tai Chi” by moving the wand slowly, or not even moving it at all, so you’re working very deeply.

When you’re working with this necklace in the aura, it’s not about how much of the body you apply the necklace to, but how deeply the energies of that gemstone can go, so choose your entry point over the body carefully.

In fact, before you present the necklace on the therapy wand, you might ask the body where it wants the entry point to be. It will likely be somewhere over the heart, but it might be as far away from the heart as possible. It might be down by the feet, in which case there could be something that the person is not yet ready to face. They’re open enough to try Gemstone Therapy, but they may not be quite ready to truly face the underlying causative factors that brought them to this point, so move very slowly.

In cases where the body shows an entry point for Pink Chalcedony that is down by the feet or somewhere below the torso, the client may benefit from wearing an anklet or a bracelet. I usually recommend wearing anklets while you’re sleeping, partly because they’re more susceptible to breakage due to the movement of the ankle. Also, while you’re sleeping, you’re more open to receiving the work that the gemstones are doing, especially if it is something you may be resisting and do not want to face. Wearing a gemstone anklet while you sleep lets the healing happen in the dream state, when you are more likely to be receptive.
