The Benefits of Poppy Jasper
The energies of Poppy Jasper & Riverstone are warming, motivating, enlivening, invigorating, and also equalizing. They accentuate forward momentum, encourage peak activity, and balance-out over- or under-active parts of your body and being. In short, these gems work together to maximize a balanced flow of energy in your life.
Poppy Jasper energy increases heat in the body, which is a measure of energetic activity. In a healthy person, this energetic activity represents the flow of life-giving energy moving through. Ideally, this energy should be relatively equal throughout, allowing a person to feel comfortably warm.
Isolated areas of the body can experience excessive heat when they are releasing unwanted energies, or when life-giving energies are blocked and unable to flow through. Excessive heat can also result when electromagnetic radiation (EMR) accumulates in an area. Or when an area is affected by artificial stimulation, such as by caffeinated products and certain herbs and drugs. Over time, as these areas lose their vitality, they can feel coldness, which is a measure of an inability to retain life-giving energy.
While Poppy Jasper is generally warming, it also equalizes areas that have too much or too little life-energy flowing through them. This effect can be perceived as an evening-out of extremes of temperature sensation. The result is a greater amount of life-giving energy flowing through the body, and therefore a greater sense of motivation, enthusiasm, invigoration, and well-being.
How Poppy Jasper Works
Poppy Jasper energy has the unique ability to recognize areas of your body that are sluggish, and then energize them. It does this by sending vortexes of energy to these areas to waken them. The strength of these vortexes varies depending on the areas’ needs.
When Poppy Jasper is first worn, the vortexes are usually small. As a wearer’s body becomes accustomed to wearing Poppy Jasper, these areas are able to receive larger doses of these vortexes, and so they can become stronger.
The Poppy Jasper vortexes aren’t themselves stimulating. Rather, they release blockages in the flows of life-giving energy that should be enlivening the targeted organs. This energy originates from the higher vibratory levels of a person’s being. The vortexes can also help the body release accumulations of other types of unwanted energies that may be present.
Poppy Jasper can send out as many vortexes as your body needs. They continue to strengthen as you wear the necklace. When you remove the necklace, the vortexes are no longer fed, but continue to work until they dissipate.
As Poppy Jasper & Riverstone is worn over time, perhaps several days, the vortexes will begin to merge. Larger, more encompassing vortexes will begin working for you and eventually support the natural rotation of the aura around the body. This rotation is called the personal vortex.
To develop the GEMFormulas’ necklaces, Isabelle consults with her Gemstone Therapy teachers in the higher planes, or the gemstone guardians in charge of the gemstones used. Here, Isabelle shares some of her personal experiences behind the scenes in the development of this necklace.
I met the Guardian of Poppy Jasper unexpectedly as I was driving home one evening through thick fog down a lonely forested road. Snow still covered the ground. I drove slowly for safety, and to enjoy the surreal view outside my windshield: whiteness everywhere, framed by bare tree branches.
It looked much like the worlds just beyond the physical plane, and I felt myself slip into a higher realm. The dual consciousness was fascinating. In one reality, I had full control of my car. In another, I was walking among the clouds in another dimension.
A woman with Asian features, who looked to be in her forties, appeared in front of me. I knew immediately this was the Guardian of Poppy Jasper because the design of the red, black, and tan fabric of her wrap-around, floor-length dress looked just like that gemstone.
Granted, I had been thinking about Poppy Jasper earlier that day and had chosen a necklace to wear. I had no idea I’d be meeting its guardian. The last time I had interacted with Poppy Jasper energy, in the 1980’s, there seemed to be no one specific individual in charge of it. That meeting was more like an immersion into the gem’s energies. I guessed that since then, this woman had taken the responsibility of caretaking Poppy Jasper energy.
“Poppy Jasper has been misunderstood,” she said, in response to my thoughts. “It’s one of the reasons that the Healing Council decided that a guardian for the stone was needed.”
I wondered if that was because the identity of Poppy Jasper had become obscured. The gem that was once plentiful in the 1980’s, when I began working with spherical gemstones, had been unavailable for many years. All the gemstone cutters who were selling “Poppy Jasper” were really offering something else. Even the strands we had recently found required a great deal of sorting to pick out the true Poppy Jasper gems.
Again, in response to my thoughts, the guardian wanted to show me something. The scene changed. We were now standing among rocky outcroppings that punctuated a vast steppe. The guardian pointed out the veins of Poppy Jasper growing in the rock. These were surrounded by nondescript, reddish jasper. No wonder miners had collected both types together.
“We need to talk about heat in the body,” she said. “The heat I am referring to can be palpated as a warmness, it can be perceived as a feeling of heat by a person who has an excess of it. But it may not be physically measurable.”
As she spoke, I stood beside her on the cliffs of jasper, even as my physical body was still driving. My attention was fully alert, not only to maintain the dual consciousness, but also because this was a topic I had long wanted to learn more about.
“Excessive heat tends to be associated with too much energy flow, especially when this energy is being released from the body,” she explained. “Too little, or a feeling of coldness, is associated with a lack of energy flow. We use the term heat and coldness, or warmth and coolness, to describe these areas. Indeed, the variation in energy flows can be perceived and palpated as temperature differences.
“An unhealthy body typically has some areas that run hot, and others cold. Those who have cold hands and feet are sensing the effects of deficient energy flows. Those whose faces easily flush red, who have reddened skin, or who feel hot or get waves of heat, are experiencing more-than-usual energy flow. The heat signals the excessive energy being released. The feeling of cold relates to depletion. The body tries to conserve its energies and it slows down its processes to do so.
“Some people can feel both heat and coldness at the same time, in different areas.”
I knew what she was talking about. My head and feet typically feel colder than the rest of my body. If I tuned into other temperature discrepancies, I could sense an accumulation of heat in my abdomen.
“The discrepancy also shows up in one’s outer life,” she said. “You can feel motivated at some times and lackadaisical and bored in others. You can feel intensely passionate about one thing, and indifferent about something that is equally important in your life. Too many extremes signal an imbalance. On the other hand, feeling enthusiastic in the morning and tired at night is natural. While feeling unmotivated in the morning, and too restless to sleep at night, is another sign of imbalance.”
She reached down to pick up a rock of unpolished Poppy Jasper and handed it to me. She continued, “Poppy Jasper recognizes the variances in the amount of energy flowing through the different parts of a person’s body and being. Those areas that move energy less (in relation to other areas in the body), receive a boost of Poppy Jasper energy in the form of a small vortex. Those areas that move energy too fast, again in relation to the rest of the body, also receive a vortex—but its effect is different. The body uses the vortex as a means to help release the excess, and hence reduce the temperature.
“The end result, and the gift of Poppy Jasper, is a greater equilibrium among the energies of previously over- and under-active areas of the body.”
“I’m guessing painful areas are overactive and associated with heat,” I suggested.
“Yes. The longer and worse the pain, the more heat is produced. Again, it’s the body’s way of releasing the unwanted energy, in this case, the energy of pain.”
“Would then other areas of the body become cold, to balance out the heat?”
“That can happen,” she said. “But the coldness doesn’t come to balance the heat. It’s an indication of depletion that occurs as these areas are funneling their life energy to the painful area in an attempt to heal it.”
“In fact,” she continued, “one way to energetically support healing in a painful area is to locate the corresponding areas of coldness and apply something warming to them.”
“Like Poppy Jasper?”
“Yes. A Poppy Jasper placement would help break up the congestion in the cooler areas, so they can bring in more energy that the body can use to heal itself.”
The guardian started walking down the rocky outcropping, and I followed her.
I began thinking about how long Poppy Jasper had been unavailable and how fortunate we were to have found a parcel of it. Of course, she heard my thoughts as our conversation was telepathic.
“You have been gifted with Poppy Jasper because you understand the importance of using symbiotic gemstones,” she said. “There’s yin and yang, and positive and negative in all things. Good relationship among these opposites is a key to good health and to life itself. Working with healing necklaces that incorporate their symbiotic partners reflects this principle and reminds the body to find this balance within itself.
“People today need Riverstone with Poppy Jasper because of the prevalence of over-heated energy in the body. Riverstone moderates Poppy Jasper’s heat and provide a direction for the energies it unleashes.
“Furthermore, the Earth is responding to a need,” she said, “Even if a few dozen people receive assistance with a gemstone, it will make a difference. At one level, everyone’s energies are connected to everyone else’s. An upliftment, even among a few, surely affects the whole. You would be surprised how the use of spherical gemstones is supporting energetic growth and evolution on the planet.”
“What need are you referring to?” I asked.
“Today, more than ever before, people’s bodies are running too hot and too cold at the same time,” she said. “This is mostly due to two factors: the presence of excessive electromagnetic radiation [EMR], and the overuse of substances that stimulate the body. The most common is caffeine.”
Now she really had my interest!
“Concentrated sources of EMR cause hot spots on the body. Eventually, the energetic fabric that comprises the tissues in these hot spots starts to break down. It essentially starts to melt. Holes get created, and unwanted energies come in. Mostly these are the EMR frequencies themselves, which continue to erode the energetic fabric in the affected areas.
“The other source, products that stimulate, produce both excess heat and cold. Let’s talk about caffeine because it is the most prevalent. Caffeine stimulates. The boost of energy you feel after drinking coffee or eating chocolate has to come from somewhere. If you aren’t naturally bringing in these energies, they get taken or borrowed from organs and tissues.
“Organs and tissues that lend their energy consistently will end up with reduced energy. They tend to experience “coldness.” When too much hotness and coldness starts to manifest in the body, the caffeine no longer has the desired effect. The body has become too depleted. It has no more stored energies to give.”
“So every time I drink green tea or eat chocolate, I’m depleting my energies?” I asked.
“To some degree, yes.”
Not an answer I wanted to hear.
“The natural way is to feel the inspiration come from within. Then, to channel this inspiration into energy to get up and go about your day. This way, the energy comes from a higher source. You’re less likely to take on more than you are capable of, and less likely to make poor choices. You’re more likely to stay in tune with yourself and on track with your purpose.”
“People aren’t going to want to hear that,” I said. “Caffeine is so popular today, it has become a staple in our diet. Nearly a food group of its own,” I practically moaned.
“The reason people use caffeine is because they do not have enough natural energy flowing through them. Their bodies and minds are burdened with EMR, or other non-color-ray frequencies. Not enough life energy or color rays are flowing through. It’s a serious problem. Rest assured, I’m not suggesting people let go their caffeine, but to be aware of the consequences of overuse and find new ways to nourish yourself…such as by wearing gemstones. If you’re depending on your caffeine to function, you need to be aware that at some point, your body’s reserves will run out.”
“Is it accurate to say that Poppy Jasper is Earth’s caffeine?” I asked.
For once the solemn face of this guardian cracked into a smile. “No,” she said simply.
“Imbalances are best corrected in a graceful way. That is how the gemstones prefer to work. When the extremes of heat and coldness in your body are more equalized, your body will become a better conduit for energy. You’ll feel more motivated, but naturally so. Areas that run too cold are usually affected first, because Poppy Jasper is essentially warming. Those areas that run too hot, will no longer have as much excess energy to release, and so they’ll become more balanced, too.”
The fog began to break and we drove through patches of clearness. By this point I couldn’t wait to get home to transcribe all I’d learned. The guardian’s presence remained with me that evening while I wrote this. At 2:00AM, and still bright-eyed, I realized that wearing Poppy Jasper/Riverstone at night was not a good idea. I removed the necklace, and finally fell asleep.
